The book produced within the Norglobal project, The re-institutionalization of higher education in the Western Balkans. The interplay between European ideas, domestic policies, and institutional practices has been reviewed by Elsa Hackl from the Department of Political Science, University of Vienna, and published in the European Journal of Higher Education.
In her review, Hackl, among other things, points out that "The study into the actual impact and implementation of the Bologna Process at the system or institutional level alone is a sufficient reason for higher education researchers and policy-makers to read the book. But it is not the only value of the book as it is also a study into Europeanization and domestic change, on comparative policy and, of course, on countries that are rarely dealt with–not only in higher education research–but generally in policy studies. However, the basic merit of the book might be that it makes one clearly aware of the dimension and direction of change in European higher education in general. Most research up to now has concentrated on higher education systems in the 15 countries that constituted the EU till 2004."
