Higher Education Reforms: Looking Back – Looking Forward

10th International Workshop on Higher Education Reforms entitled Higher Education Reforms: Looking Back – Looking Forward will take back in Ljuljana (Slovenia) on October 2-4, 2013. The Workshop will be hosted by the University of Ljubljana. It will be organized by staff and students of the Center for Educational Policy Studies, Faculty of Education.

This years workshop will be dedicated to the current developments in higher education, focusing on the change, drivers of change and future prospect. Among other issues, the workshop will reflect on the topics such as international rankings, financial crisis, on-line learning and the rise of “massive open online courses” (popularly shortened as MOOCs), as well as some of the evergreen issues in higher education, such as academic freedom and institutional autonomy. Call for Papers and Panels

Papers and panels are invited to address the above-mentioned and related themes. Proposals of up to 400 words (for papers) and 800 words (for panels) should be received per electronic mail (file transfer) by or before June 1, 2013 at ceps@pef.uni-lj.si. Presenters will be notified by June 14th.
